The Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association (MGRA) will be announcing the successful Phoenix 2022 slot holders on Friday 16th September 2022.
Originally slated for Friday 9th September 2022, The MGRA has made the decision to delay the announcement by one week to ensure the slot applications can be thoroughly reviewed by the Independent Assessment Panel (IAP) chaired by Dr Denis Napthine AO, as well as the Greyhound Racing Integrity Unit (GRIU).
To be run on Saturday 17th December at The Meadows, the 2022 edition of The Phoenix is the world’s richest greyhound race, with a staggering $1.65 million in prizemoney this year – including a life-changing first prize of $1 million.
