MEDIA RELEASE – ON COURSE ATTENDANCE
Thursday 27 October

The Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association (MGRA) welcomes the recent announcements from the Victorian State Government regarding the easing of restrictions and the return of patrons to the races.
Please note this will be a gradual reopening and the Club will not resume ‘normal’ operations until the race meeting on Saturday 27 November as per the Chief Health Officer’s guidelines.

The following restrictions will apply up until that date.

Monday 1 November (TAB Hume Cup Night)

Essential personnel only. (No change to current restrictions)

Wednesday 3 November

Essential personnel only. (No change to current restrictions)

Saturday 6 November (TAB Topgun Night)

Current financial MGRA Members and connections of greyhounds competing in the Group 1 TAB Topgun and TAB Topgun Stayers are invited to purchase a ticket. Proof of double vaccination will be required for attendance.

Tickets are $35pp (dinner only) ($25pp Members) or $100pp (dinner & drinks package) ($90pp Members)

It is important to note that all attendees will be required to remain in the upstairs dining room for the entirety of the night. They will not be permitted to go downstairs for any reason, including presentations. It is a condition of reopening that patrons are kept entirely separate from essential personnel (including participants) until after the 26th of November (at which point all essential persons are required to be double vaccinated).

Wednesday 10, 17 & 24 November, Saturday 13 & 20 November

Bookings are invited for double vaccinated patrons, however the same restrictions will apply as on Topgun night – all attendees will be required to remain in the upstairs dining room for the entirety of their time on course. 100 person limit applies. Tickets will be allocated on a first-in basis.

Saturday 27 November & beyond

Crowds will be welcomed back to the track and will be free to return to normal business. Christmas packages will be available including mini marquees on The Terrace and dining packages upstairs.
