Midweek Meadows – 29th September

Race 1:
MEPUNGA MANTRA (1) seemingly faces the easiest race of his short career to date and on exposed form, he looks very hard to beat. DUTCH IMPACT’s (2) dam was a seriously talented chaser and from the inside draw, he cannot be discounted.  NAGAMBIE BALE (4) & MONTAG BALE (8) are from the flying Grenfell camp and go in all exotics.

Selections: 1-2-4-8

Race 2:
ASTON ARIARNE (6) has been well supported at her two career runs and can improve. KEMPTON BALE (4) was beaten well on debut but jumped well and will improve from the run. FLAMING PEPPER (2) was solid on debut at Bendigo when forced wide, the box draw should be better here. WICHITA BALE (3) next.

Selections: 6-4-2-3

Race 3:
While only a Grade 7, this race is one of the hottest on the card with two very exciting prospects to go around. LOXTON BALE (1) was the subject of an insane betting plunge on debut and from the inside draw, a repeat of her 5.14 first split should be enough to vie for the lead and be hard to beat. COLLINDA LADY (6) is a supreme talent and is in the powerful Thompson kennel. URIANA BALE (8) has been racing in tough company and this is no exception.

Selections: 1-6-8-2

Race 4:
EARTHWORM JIM (2) has an abundance of talent, the smaller field should suit him and he can get a nice tow into the race from CHILLOUT COOKIE (1). WEBLEC CRUISER (8) has been racing well without winning of late. MARS ROVER (6) can run a cheeky race if he finds a spot.

Selections: 2-8-1-6

Race 5:
SHIVERS (6) was super tough last time out and while the step back in distance isn’t ideal it is hard to go past winning form. BLAZING FURY (2) is well placed in this grade and is capable of racing well. INGA MIA (4) rarely races poorly here. WHY NOT LILAH (1) next.

Selections: 6-2-4-1

Race 6:
SANDRA’S STICKER (4) has been superb over the longer journey and will be storming home late. REDZIN (1) has a big motor and up to the ‘700’ for the first time since July looks to be a big positive. OVERFLOW LISA (3) has unfurled big run home times over shorter distance that suggest this distance will be a plus. FLYING FOXY (7) beat the #3 two starts ago over Sale’s 650m journey.

Selections: 4-1-3-7

Race 7:
LEKTRA JENA (3) is much better than recent form suggests and should be vying for the early lead. CHILL OUT WEBBY (1) does his best racing from inside draws and will be strong in the run home. MT. VIEW EMMA (8) can show some early pace and the step back in distance helps. HIGH ACTION (2) has a good PB here.

Selections: 3-1-8-2

Race 8
:
TITAN BLAZER (2) was ultra-impressive last start breaking the 30 second barrier and looks to have plenty of upside. RING A RANGER (8) doesn’t run bad races and holds a handy PB at this Track/Distance. HALBERD BALE (3) saves his best racing for this circuit as his good record here suggests. TYNSLEE BALE (6) will appreciate vacant boxes to both sides.

Selections: 2-8-3-6

Race 9:
DARNUM DOZER (4) was super at Cranbourne two starts back and this grade of race suits. BERKEL BOY (6) doesn’t win often but appreciates wider draws and ran well last here last start. MY DEWANA PENNY (2) races well here. FLY HAVOC (8) next.

Selections: 4-6-2-8

: R4 N2 – Earthworm Jim
Next Best: R6 N4 – Sandra’s Sticker

QUADDIE ($54 for 100%):
R5 – 2, 4, 6
