‘Wow’ could she have a TAB Phoenix slot?

Wow She’s Fast is merely 19 months old but she still managed to set TAB Phoenix slot holders tongues wagging with her phenomenal performance on debut at Sandown on Sunday.

Trained by Kel & Jackie Greenough, the daughter of My Bro Fabio and Fair of Face flew around in a mind boggling 29.09 – the fastest maiden time ever set at the circuit.

“I had a slot holder get in touch with me to see if I was interested in it if she ticked all the boxes, and why wouldn’t I be?” said Kel Greenough.

“Obviously if I was going to do that (take up the slot) I would target The Meadows a bit more and give her more looks around there”

“She had a post-to-post at The Meadows at about 17 months old and went okay but she was still a baby.”

Owned by Greg Sprod and Tyrone Whittington, all going well, Wow She’s Fast will look to capitalise on greyhound’s newest slot race and the $750,000 first prize.

“It’s something new and something different but once people grasp the concept of it, people will probably think gee, that’s an exciting race”

After one start and one win, the sky is the limit for the Greg Sprod & Tyrone Whittington owned flyer.

“I haven’t really thought about where she goes next, she is in at Sandown on Thursday night in a Maiden Final and that’s really only the start of her career really” said Greenough

Wow She’s Fast is currently a $17 chance in the TAB pre-noms market.
