Husband-wife training team Kel and Jacqueline Greenough head to The Meadows on Saturday night with three strong chances.
In Race 3, Helen’s Teddy will jump from Box 3. She’s already won two from four, and has placed twice. Last week, she won here in 30.29 from Box 7, when she began well and extended strongly to finish over the top of them.
“I think Helen’s Teddy is a chance if she begins well,” says Kel Greenough.
Better Watch Out looks a huge winning chance in Race 5, despite drawing Box 5. He had excuses last week here when finishing sixth, but prior to that had been clocking some exceptional times at Sandown, including an all-the-way 29.48 win there two starts ago.
“He needs to begin better than last week, but if he gets a clear run from Box 5, he’s also a chance,” says Greenough.
You Tell Me should appreciate the box draw and the class drop in Race 8. She’s been lining up against some of the most elite sprinters in Victoria in her recent races, and gets a winnable race on Saturday night.
“She’s been racing against some very classy dogs recently and maybe lost some confidence, but she has got the early speed to lead which she will need to do.
“If she leads clearly, she will also be a good chance.”
