Woodside trainer Jennifer Gill heads to The Meadows on Wednesday with three each-way chances.
In Race 1, Camila comes up with the coveted red rug for her track debut. She was completely luckless on Sunday at Sale when finishing back in the field, but won there impressively the week prior in 25.19.
“She’s trialled at The Meadows, and she liked it there. Box 1 is her box – that’s what she wants, and there’s no reason why she won’t go well,” says Jennifer.
In Race 2, Carrie has drawn Box 4. She comes into the race with solid form at Sale, having won there in 29.80 on Sunday from Box 5. She jumped well on that occasion and extended away late to score easily by over five lengths.
“She came through last Sunday brilliantly, and was ready to go again five minutes later! She’s a strong type, and she’s probably my best of the day.”
Jillissa will jump from Box 5 in the last of the day. The majority of her recent racing has been at Sale, and she was a winner there in 25.37 on 5 June, when she hit the line well to score.
“She normally gets back, but she’s likely to come home hard. If she can get through, she’s always a chance. Never, ever write her off – she’s strong,” says Jennifer.
