Anakie trainers Sean and Nicole Cachia have three runners heading to The Meadows today, all of which are in with a winning chance, and all racing over 600m.
Their day kicks off in Race 3, with Fairytale Wish jumping from Box 5. She didn’t get all favours here last time, and has previously gone well over the 600m trip.
“She shouldn’t be too far away. She’s had two goes over 600m and is going well, so I’m expecting her to go well. Mepunga Mila is the one to beat in the red,” says Sean.
In Race 5, Indulge comes up with Box 4. She led all the way to score here two starts ago in 34.60, when beating home Fairytale Wish.
“Hopefully she can find the front – she’s a very hard dog to run down. I think she’ll go well if she finds the front.”
In Race 9, super exciting Polly’s Yohanna comes up with Box 4, with a vacant box to her outside. She made up significant ground here last time for third on a very wet day, when she was unlucky early.
“She’s exciting with how she races. She has a lot of ability, and is definitely the one to follow; she’s a nice little bitch.”
“She’s probably our best chance of the day,” says Sean.
