Can Equilibrium make it seven straight?

Exciting stayer Equilibrium – a son of My Bro Fabio and Bambina – will make his Meadows 725-metre debut after six consecutive and outstanding victories recently.

The blue chaser took 13 starts to break his maiden, but has looked unstoppable since stepping up in distance, recording fast times on provincial tracks before his ultra-impressive 41.70 victory on debut at Sandown Park last Friday night.

Trained by Ian Garland, the 29-month old chaser takes on the likes of Group 1 National Distance finalist Dyna Chancer, Group 3 Chairman’s Cup winner Billy’s Bake and quality former NSW stayer Zagati in a talent-laden Handicap at The Meadows this Saturday night.

The night will also see a cracking Free For All, where the eight runners combine for a prizemoney total of over $1.8 million. Champion female chaser Up Hill Jill is searching for her first victory since returning from a serious metatarsal injury, and she takes on the likes of this year’s Australian Cup champ Hecton Bale, Poke The Bear, who boasts a 29.46PB at The Meadows, and Bernardo, who is unbeaten in four starts off the red box.
