Up Hill Jill heads Snow Queen nominations

Seven-time Group finalist Up Hill Jill headlines four quality heats of the new Damsels Dash series the Snow Queen, which kicks off at The Meadows over the 525-metre trip this Saturday night.

The daughter of Premier Fantasy and Where’s Demonica returned to her best at Sandown in late July, clocking a fast first split of 4.99 before recording a Best of Day 29.56 over the 515-metre journey.

Amazingly, the David Geall-trained chaser is yet to win a race at the Broadmeadows circuit, finishing a close second at her last attempt back in March.

The black chaser will start from box three against impressive youngster Chezzy Allen and Group 1 finalist Lady Charlotte.

Victory would bring up win number 23 from 41 starts, where she has collected almost a quarter of a million dollars along the way.

Other Snow Queen nominations including Group 1 National Futurity placegetter Daithy Allen (race two, box two), Group 1 Sapphire Crown winner Maja Mahi Mahi (race nine, box seven) and Tasmanian State Sprint finalist Manila Dawn (race 11, box four).

First and second placegetters will quality for August 19′s Snow Queen final, on Girls Night Out at The Meadows.

Saturday will also see unbeaten youngster Hoo Gur Affair (race four, box two) look to continue his streak after a dazzling 30.02, seven-length win in last week’s heat.
