Thirty Talks aims for more Group One glory

Queensland star Thirty Talks will aim to qualify for another Group 1 final after drawing box eight in the last of the four semi finals of the AJS Corporation Silver Chief (525m) at The Meadows on Saturday night.
Trained by Tony Brett, the son of Where’s Pedro and Unfinished worked hard from a wide draw to win his heat in 30.11 and has again drawn off the track. The brindle chaser has already won three Group races, including the Group 1 Brisbane Cup earlier this month.

The fastest heat winner last Saturday night was Matt Machine, whop stopped the clock at 29.78, creating a new PB. Dream Future (29.81) and Lightning Frank (29.83) were the other two heat winners to break the magical 30-second mark.

The winners and seconds from Saturday’s semi finals will progress to January 7’s final worth $100,000 the winner.

Semi-final one:
Matt Machine (box two) couldn’t have been more impressive in last week’s heat win and is drawn where he wants to be. Young gun Aston Dee Bee (box six) worked hard from a wide draw on debut at The Meadows to win in 30.16. His run home time highlighted his prowess over this distance. Dyna Boomer (box four) will be powering home.

Semi-final two:
Reefton Treasure (box one) is a powerhouse sprinter and will be very hard to hold out from the good draw. The son of Turanza Bale ran 29.76 the last time he exited box one at The Meadows. Dream Future (box seven) was super in his heat, jumping to the front and winning in a fast 29.82. They are the clean standouts. Amigo (box five) is poorly drawn but has won five of his last six.

Semi-final three:
Lightning Frank (box one) has a huge motor, and it was on show last Saturday night, coming from well back to fly home to score in 29.83. He does like to use a bit of the track, so the draw isn’t as advantageous as it might be for others. Myrniong Corner (box three) is a star but he can be hit or miss at boxrise. Flawless Bling (box four) ran 30.10 to win his heat and Hit The Runway (box five) will make his presence felt with some clear running.

Semi-final four:
Thirty Talks (box eight) has a massive winning percentage and he handled a wide draw in his heat victory. He certainly has the ability to improve on his winning time of 30.11 and should progress to the final. Rockstar Troy (box three) was impressive behind Matt Machine last week, and he has broken 30 seconds at The Meadows.
