It was a night of surprises at The Meadows with the majority of fancied runners failing to impress in heats of the Silver Chief over 525 metres on Saturday night. Despite some shock results, most of the highly-rated chasers in the series including Dyna Lachlan and Silent Guardian progressed to next Saturday’s semi-finals.
